Om Ethics and Globalised Development
The problematic that has gripped the Sub-Saharan African milieu and has perturbed philosophers, political scientists, economists, sociologists, and development partners, intellectually and Splanchnically , is the combined phenomenon of corruption, nepotism, embezzlement graft, abuse of office and cronyism. While Sub-Saharan Africa has for a number of decades received substantial chunks of aid, ostensibly to improve living standards of the masses, in the majority of countries, living standards seem to be falling and the numbers of those who are destitute increasing. In addition even Ombudsmen and other integrity monitoring institutions, set up to ensure that ethical standards are observed in both public and private domains seems to be whipping a dead horse . The book critically assesses the fundamental causes of the integrity crisis in which Sub-Saharan is currently enmeshed.
