Facets of Emptiness

The Heart Sutra is a short, one page, Buddhist scripture that is chanted in countless monasteries, temples, practice centers, and at many home altars. The Heart Sutra focuses on the nature of emptiness and the salvific nature of the experience of emptiness. Understandings of the nature of emptiness have varied over the centuries. This commentary, Facets of Emptiness, offers an introduction to many of these facets, as well as poetic and intuitive elaborations on emptiness.
