Shields is Professor Emeritx of Psychology and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at The Pennsylvania State University - University Park. Her research is at the intersection of human emotion, gender, and feminist psychology. Alexandra I. Zelin is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
