The theoretical-practical relationship is present in pedagogical discussions on the professional training of nurses and is part of the repertoire of themes widely disseminated in the worlds of training and work, requiring an in-depth analysis of its meaning and characterisation of the movement of construction of the teaching and learning process. The aim of this study was to investigate how teachers, nurses involved in care activities and students studying adult health in an undergraduate nursing course understand the theoretical-practical relationship in the process of professional training for nurses. The text sought to answer questions about the teaching and learning process; the hiring of professional nurses for care activities; and the identification of limits and possibilities in the theoretical-practical relationship. The methodology used was qualitative empirical research, based on a case study.

This book is an overview of our bats, for children, where common names, scientific names, descriptions, feeding, distribution and conservation are detailed. It is profusely illustrated with full color drawings, as well as distribution maps in Cuba. The field guides constitute a form of scientific popularization, already classic in the world literature of natural sciences, devised so that the amateurs have the means in the quick identification, in field conditions, of a particular group of animals, of a determined country or region. Obviously, they are characterized by an appreciable predominance of illustrations at the expense of the text. Works of this type are in great demand among the population. The author is a specialist in the study and conservation of Cuban bats.

Among the main culprits of climate change is China, the country that has contributed the most to global warming with its emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), the main greenhouse gas. China released 31% of the total CO2 into the atmosphere in 2021, equivalent to about 12,466.3 megatons. This research conducted a characterization of the variables CO2 emissions and vehicle fleet, a normality test was applied to the data using Shapiro Wilk analysis, a Spearman correlation test that resulted in a strong correlation of r= 0.986; which means that there is a very strong positive correlation between the two variables. This implies that when one variable increases, the other also tends to increase, and vice versa. A future projection was made using the least squares model, year by year, from 2024 to 2030, with the result that in 2024 CO2 emissions will be 13471.3 Mt and these emissions will increase until 2030 up to 15,419.7 Mt, which puts at risk the world environmental goals of reducing CO2 emissions and global temperature of the planet by less than 1.5 °C.

Throughout his career as a researcher in Phoenician mythology, Dr Karam has never ceased to give all his work an authentic universality. In this in-depth analysis of the Adonis myth and its cultural repercussions in the East and West, the author has demonstrated his mastery of both high-level academic research and the technique of decoding Phoenician mythology. In this highly learned work devoted to the myth of Adonai through the centuries, our author has demonstrated unequalled erudition, and has been able to open up a founding page for a new biblical exegesis and hermeneutics for deciphering the creative forces of Semitic genius.

Snakebites are a common and growing public health problem, with 5 million snakebites and 150,000 deaths annually, mainly in tropical countries. Adders cause haemorrhaging and cobras cause fatal respiratory paralysis. The only treatment is anti-venomous serum. During the first quarter of 2018, the majority of TSS cases recorded were Grade I symptomatic and caused by unknown snakes. In Morocco, the problem of snakebite accidents (SS) remains less well understood in epidemiological, clinical, aetiological (recognition of the snakes responsible for these bites) and management terms.

The unbridled search for ever higher quality and ever lower costs has led to the study of various alternatives to construction processes. With regard to concrete consumption, different curing processes can lead to improvements in axial compressive strength values and also in the volume of material to be used. By complying with regulations and carrying out laboratory tests, the aim was to adapt the studies to the reality of the construction industry. The results obtained showed gains, so an adequate curing process could guarantee similar strength values even with a reduction in the cross-section of the construction elements.

This work deals with the literacy of young people and adults with special educational needs, a situation that is close to the hearts of the members of the group and which they consider to be extremely important, due to the fact that, when a single individual has such disadvantages that practically prevent him from being considered a Homo Urbanus, these are: he doesn't have the formal education that would allow him to exercise the vast majority of the best-paid jobs available today, since they all require at least an elementary school education, which is minimum literacy, either in the national language or in mathematics; he often doesn't have full discernment to distinguish the correct from the dubious, the misleading from the true, what will make him better off and what will be mere palliatives for him to achieve a better quality of life; and, finally, they don't have full citizenship even though their body has reached full strength, because they didn't have the necessary discernment at the right age to obtain a school degree that would allow their life, as well as those who accompany them in their family, to be considered dignified and full.

Research on the theme of "African armies in democratic processes with the advent of sovereign national conferences; the case of Niger" is an ideal opportunity to delve into a major issue for young African democracies. The aim of this study was to shed light on one of the most thorny issues facing African democracies, namely the role and place of the armed forces. Indeed, since the advent of democratic societies in Africa with the fall of the Berlin Wall, one of the major concerns facing this new order has been the redefinition of the role to be played by the armed forces. This dissertation deals with a subject that is still topical in African countries, particularly Niger.

The essays in this volume address capitalist globalisation and society's resistance - which is international - to financial and military power.Today's global colonialism is curiously similar to the subjugation of the long-dominated Caribbean region, and especially of Puerto Rico, a Hispanic Antillean island trying to survive the domination of US imperialism.A neoliberal totalitarianism diminishes nations - collective spaces with the potential to expand their social and popular solidarity - and not only in the so-called third world, but in Europe and elsewhere. The government is the banks.Instead of social development, indebtedness, individualistic competitiveness and obedience to US policy are imposed.Puerto Rico was the laboratory of such strategies more than a hundred years ago. In its mirror humanity can look today to better understand the challenges of the 21st century. The essays examine events, protests, films, books. They look not only at Puerto Rican history and others in the modern and contemporary world - Cuba, the United States, Korea, the Caribbean - but at ideas about struggle and the possibilities for change.

This research was carried out with the aim of understanding the impact of traditional gold mining on the vegetation and soil in Perkoa. The soaring price of gold, climatic hazards and poverty have led to a rush by the population, especially in rural areas, to engage in gold panning. There are over 600 gold panning sites in Burkina Faso. Through documentary research, site observations, surveys and chemical soil analyses, the causes of environmental degradation, in particular vegetation and soil, have been identified. This verifies the impact of gold panning on the environment. The main causes of the regressive dynamics of the vegetation cover in the study area are the cutting of wood for support, the making of working tools, the construction of processing and housing sheds, cooking, the clearing of the herbaceous cover and the search for gold nuggets under the plants. This disrupts the site's environment and accentuates the action of water and wind erosion, which have negative repercussions on agricultural activity.

This book focuses on software applications designed according to the service-oriented architectural model. These applications are built by composing several Web Services from different sources and operating together, independently of their location, in order to achieve complex functionality. During interaction between these Web services, a number of events occur, such as degradation of quality of service, failures of deployed services, etc. This leads to communication disruptions. This work has enabled the development of a service-oriented application called Smart City, the implementation of monitoring mechanisms to scrutinize the architecture of this application, track its interactions and build a graphical representation of its architecture using graphs.

The social inclusion perspective incorporated into the Bolsa Família Program (PBF) seeks to go beyond the distribution of monetary benefits, moving towards strategies aimed at the emancipation of poor families. With this in mind, the general objective of this research is to characterize the contribution of the Bolsa Família Program to the lives of beneficiary families in the municipality of Parintins; and the specific objectives are: to identify the profile of beneficiaries legally responsible for the PBF in the city of Parintins; to verify the program's contribution to promoting food and nutritional sufficiency and security in the lives of families; and to look for patterns in groups of individuals that can be used as indicators, allowing us to verify how the aid is spent by beneficiary families. The work is characterized by field research with a quantitative approach. This challenge means promoting anti-poverty policies, strengthening the social protection network and effectively contributing to the possibility of sustained emancipation for the beneficiary families.

The cosmetics sector represents one of the most dynamic markets, in constant transformation, where great competition has a positive impact, leading to the search for innovative products, as well as new concepts, creating new niches and segments. As a result of the constant search for alternatives for aesthetic improvement, there has been a great need for nutritional supplementation, with the aim of bringing benefits to physical appearance, since a healthy eating routine, with plenty of fluids and a good night's sleep, are becoming increasingly distant habits for most people. To meet these demands, nutricosmetics have emerged on the market, involving the areas of cosmetics and food. Nutricosmetics are characterized by the oral supplementation of nutrients that contain the concentrated form of one or more bioactive compounds from a food, presented separately from the food matrix, and are usually consumed with the aim of improving health and physical appearance - "beauty from the inside out". This book contains fundamental concepts, the market, legislation and some myths and truths about nutricosmetics.

Considering that the inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in mainstream schools is an area of great progress in education, this paper argues that this statement is not always true, and analyses the view of the SEN themselves, the teachers, the sign language interpreters and the teaching team, of how great the challenges and difficulties posed by society, the government and even the school itself, which do not provide factors related to improving the inclusion of these students in the mainstream classroom. Factors such as teacher training, infrastructure and problems linked to the training of people with disabilities who need specific attention for each case. Thus, the main aim of this book is to study, through a bibliographical survey, some data to retrieve aspects of the inclusion of these students with SEN in mainstream schools in a municipality in the south of the state of Espírito Santo, identifying the schools that have included these students in their enrolment system, and how chemistry teaching is being worked on in the classroom with each student with different types of special needs.

Thinking about the process of inclusion is already a valid and necessary attitude, but putting it into practice is still an urgent task that demands commitment on the part of those in power, enforcing so many public policies that have already been signed, but that still need to be put into practice and that can effectively guarantee the right to equity in various areas, including the right to education, as was and still is guaranteed in the 1988 Federal Constitution. In this sense, the book will provide the reader with a brief account of the historical and political perspective of Inclusive Education, situating it in time and in the movements that have ensured and still ensure its implementation in the educational field, as well as leading us to reflect on/take action to change paradigms, while also presenting Inclusive Intervention Plans - proposals for activities that have been carried out by undergraduate teaching students on the Pedagogy course at UNESPAR - Paraná State University, Apucarana Campus. We therefore hope that the examples listed here will also enable the creation of new ideas and that this work will be multiplied, guaranteeing increasingly better inclusive education.

The book seeks to analyse the legal provision (art. 387, item IV, of the Code of Criminal Procedure, inserted by Law 11. 719/2008) that determined that the criminal judge should set a minimum compensation for the victim as reparation for damages. Criminal law is often so concerned with the figure of the defendant that it establishes measures to prevent, punish and re-socialise them in society. On the other hand, the figure of the victim remains forgotten, with the after-effects and marks left by crimes that can never be forgotten. However, has this provision succeeded in giving greater visibility to these victims by setting a minimum amount of money for psychological treatment? And can the actions of members of the judiciary influence how these issues are dealt with? The treatment with respect for the dignity of the human person guaranteed to the accused and the fairness of the reparation of damages to the victim and their family members, who just want to look at the sunset as it is, is in question. Therefore, the victim's cry is that their anguish and sadness should weigh heavily when it comes to setting compensation, following what we call integral guarantorism.

This study aims to evaluate the effect of the relaxation intervention on the immune system of mothers with low birth weight babies. 60 puerperal women (control and experimental groups) with babies weighing less than 2,500g and attending the Obstetrics Department of a public hospital in Espírito Santo, Brazil, were assessed. Salivary immunoglobulin A (IgA) was used as an immunological parameter. The aim was to examine the correlation between the salivary IgA of puerperal women with low birth weight and age, behaviour and mood variables, as well as the effect of the intervention on salivary IgA. The data showed that the Relaxation intervention did not modulate salivary IgA in the experimental group after learning, internalising and practising the Relaxation technique. No correlation was found between the control variables and salivary IgA, but there was a reduction in the state of anxiety in the two groups studied, which was directly related to the type of maternal feeling towards the newborn.

This research paper aims to recognise and promote the importance of reading as an object with multiple benefits for social coexistence, praising its importance and revealing a major concern for contemporary society. With the advent of new technologies, the lack of a taste for reading has become a problem that needs to be debated and tackled head on, so that possible solutions can be launched to remedy or alleviate the inferiorisation of the reading of various textual genres, and specifically that of the literary text, including cordel pamphlets, from a merely instrumental perspective that disregards the possibility of reading as something good and pleasurable for the student. Faced with this problem, the idea is to build bridges between cordel literature and the new technologies that are so close to the students.

The information on the Web is largely decentralized and this aspect favours its growth. In order to store knowledge and make it accessible to machines, ontologies allow information to be grouped into knowledge domains, which can be used to discover and select information that is relevant to the user's interests. Although the use of ontologies for the representation and organization of knowledge represents an advance towards the automation of information discovery processes, the diversity of ontologies for describing the same domain can make interoperability between applications difficult. This problem refers to semantic heterogeneity, which is more philosophical than computational. The inherent difficulty in communication between the agents and services that use these ontologies makes it clear that there is a need to include a neutral entity between the parties, which can resolve problems relating to impasses between information. This entity is called a mediator and, in this work, it appears as a mediation service called OntoBRIDGE, which carries out the ontology reconciliation process.

This study takes a literary-historical look at the generations that preceded and succeeded Salazarism and its repercussions in Portugal and Angola by analyzing two works: O jardim sem limites (1995) by Portuguese author Lídia Jorge and Predadores (2008) by Angolan writer Artur Pestana, known as Pepetela. The former shows us characters of different ages displaced in their country, albeit for different reasons: the old, because they don't recognize themselves in this new democratic - albeit conservative - Portugal, and the young, because they don't identify with this place whose recent past they don't know. The Angolan writer's work, on the other hand, covers a period from 1974, immediately after the fall of the Estado Novo and a year before independence, to 2004, three years after the end of the civil war that followed the war for liberation. Thus, we have two alternating generations: the pre-74 generation - including those who fought for Angola's freedom and those who were not involved in politics or its subsequent outcome - and the children of the war, all alienated from the political and social context of which they are a part.

Speed in soccer is a physical characteristic of fundamental importance for any player. The aim of this study was to compare speed scores between U15 soccer players with different tactical roles (positioning). Studies on players' speed capacity are usually focused on older players. Therefore, there is still little knowledge available on the factors that influence the abilities of young players. Based on this information, it is possible to detect the specific needs of this segment in order to improve the speed training methodology for players in soccer teams. The players selected underwent a 50-meter speed test, in which they had to run a horizontal race at maximum speed. Their body mass and height were also measured. With the results analyzed, it can be concluded that the performance of high-speed sprints in soccer varies little between the different positions and does not seem to be influenced by body mass and height values in U-15 athletes.

Scientific and technological research involving RARE EARTH ELEMENTS (REEs) can be considered a matter of national strategy. They are present in our daily lives in permanent magnets, light bulbs, computer chips, monitors, glass colourants, X-ray machines, as contrasting agents in clinical examinations, in high-resolution lenses, among others. Furthermore, it is believed that a country that has knowledge and/or scientific-technological mastery of these elements can be considered a very important country on the world economic stage. Specifically, this book comes from a project funded by the National Research Council - MCT (CNPq 405806/2013-2). It is characterised as interdisciplinary, as it involves human resources from the fields of engineering, natural and exact sciences and health. This book is considered part 1 of this major project, while part 2 deals with more specific examples in the field of geology, geophysics and geostatistics developed in the central region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. Generally speaking, this project aims to approach ETR from a geological, geophysical, chemical and pharmaceutical perspective.

The Tagus River Estuary, due to its ecological, geographical, historical and cultural importance, was used as a theme to warn that the challenges of preserving and conserving Wetlands and most Ecosystems are ever greater. The first chapter provides a brief description of this issue. For centuries, man has caused environmental problems that modern society is now facing. There is an urgent need for a change in behavior and attitudes that can remedy them and allow us to live on a sustainable planet. Pollution, the extinction of species, energy waste and climate change are all concerns of local and global political bodies, organizations, associations and schools. Together we must contribute to the Environmental Education and Citizenship of society as a whole. At school, contributing to students' awareness and environmental education involves involving them in projects that involve direct contact with nature and an emotional connection with the places under study. In the professional career described in the second chapter of this report, I contribute to training proactive students for a sustainable future.
