Have you ever been a victim of abuse? Have you ever questioned why such bad things have happened to you? Author Sonja Marie Miller can answer "yes" to both of these questions as she grew up only knowing abuse and cruelty from those who she believed cared about her. Yet through everything, she never gave up and survived the unimaginable."Unfortunately, bad things do happen to good people, but we do not have to let the bad things that have happened to us destroy our lives." -Sonja Marie Miller Truer words have never been spoken. Learning To Live Again (Through Jesus Christ My Lord) is Miller's startling, yet hopeful memoir of surviving, overcoming, and sharing her story so that other women who have suffered or are currently suffering as she has can become survivors and overcomers, as well. Her story of survival began all the way on the day of her birth as she was born at twenty-four weeks and weighed only three pounds. From childhood up to her late teenage years, she became a victim of molestation, abuse (physical, verbal, and sexual), and three counts of rape by her stepfathers and supposed friends. Fear, guilt, shame, and feelings of unworthiness were all she felt over those countless years, turning to anger, hatred, and rage as she reached adulthood. Through the bad and the worse, each year brought her closer to God until she attended a church service that changed her life forever. Now, she no longer considers herself a victim, but rather an overcomer since the day she received her healing through her Lord and Savior. Miller is a miracle, and her story is a wonder and a prayer to others so they, too, can overcome their pasts and maintain victory in their lives for their futures. Sonja is an ordained Minister and President and Founder of Lo.v.e. Ministries which (Love) stands for (Ladies of Victory Everywhere). Franz Delitzsch wrote, A System of Biblical Psychology in 1855 and called it "one of the oldest sciences of the church." Oswald Chambers published lectures in 1912 as the last definitive spokesman for Biblical psychology before secular psychology displaced it. This book traces seven stages of mankind from original creation to eternal glorification, and is for anyone interested in what God reveals in Scripture about human nature. Insights from 55 years of teaching Scripture and 35 years of clinical practice are synthesized. The content is scholarly enough for a textbook, but written simply enough for any serious reader. Theological principles are presented from the perspective of a mental healthcare provider, not case studies or personality theory. Heinroth, Delitzsch, Nee, and Chambers are introduced to terminal generation readers. Christ's return is closer than ever, and the need to understand human behavior has never been more urgent! Dr. Don Ott is an ordained evangelist and licensed psychologist. He has practiced in Russellville, Arkansas since 1987 and established Christian Psychological Resources in 1994. Mount Zion: In the Fullness of His Presence; The Mystery of the Tabernacle of David examines mis-understood parts of David's story and explains how they lay a foundation for understanding the Tabernacle of David. This revelation is particularly applicable today since Amos 9:11-15 declares that the Tabernacle of David will be re-built in its fullness only after the Jews have returned to their homeland. The book looks into why David's reign was different from that of King Saul's; why, for example, King David was able to offer sacrifices while King Saul could not. Mount Zion also covers the role that the Gentiles played in David's administration, including as personal bodyguards and advisors. Additionally, the book gives significant insight into the important but little understood part that the Mighty Men played in the revelation of the Tabernacle of David. Ann Tankesley has spent a life-time studying the Bible. She has two daughters and lives in Tennessee.
The greatest evils are the ones that infiltrate our lives without our knowledge, and a bad relationship with food can deal as much damage as any weapon or disease. Having been diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, Reverend Zenzile R. Legend knew something had to change, or she was risking a premature death by her own two hands. Flawed, Favored, & Fabulous: Chronicles of a Former Fat Girl is a deeply personal book about Legend's own weight loss journey and the lessons she has learned along the way. It took Legend over thirty years to learn how to become thoughtful in her eating habits. After research, trial and error, and fluctuating body image, her relationship with food changed for better, and her relationship with God and herself flourished in ways unimaginable. Legend transformed not only her diet and physical appearance, but her perspective on self-worth, inner strength, and having trust in Christ to release us from our vices. By integrating mind, body, and spirit, Legend has formed valuable lessons, strategies, insights, and instructions within this work that will help anyone who is struggling to lose weight and rebuild their self-esteem. Life should be fulfilling, but we must play an active role in ensuring our own mental and physical wellbeing; we must begin choosing ourselves over our temptations. In the end, the only thing standing in the way of you evolving into your best self is you. Rev. Zenzile R. Legend is a gifted teacher, an anointed speaker, and an experienced life coach. In 35 years of pastoral ministry, Rev. Zenzi has been used to heal, deliver, encourage, inspire, strengthen, empower, restore, challenge, and uplift thousands of people. Although she was raised in Oakland, Rev. Zenzi left the Bay Area for 10 years to pursue a degree in Communications at Howard University in Washington D.C. Upon graduation, she went on to receive her MDiv from Colgate Rochester Divinity School in Rochester, NY, and then was called to plant a church back in Oakland. Recently, her dramatic weight loss broadened the scope of her life's work to include helping others to get healthy and to evolve into the best version of themselves in mind, body, and spirit. Rev. Zenzile has committed herself to modeling a personal relationship with God that is not only fulfilling but transformative; she is passionate about the fact that "it's not about religion but relationship.
We are often caught up in life asking God for all kinds of things. Do we ever ask God how He's doing? How He spends his day? Grade schooler Annie has questions about God and goes to her mom for guidance. As mom wonders about the answers she will give Annie, she suggests talking to Him about her questions. "I never know how to talk to Him", says Annie. And so begins an interesting dream and some answers Annie didn't expect. This story will hopefully begin a dialog between parents or caregivers with their children of how God can take a active part in the people we become as Christians to be caring and kind children of God and a reflection of Him to our world. As a child of God I have spent over 40 years in Developmental Infant and Toddler care. Now retired, my education was in Early Childhood Education. As a teacher, supervisor, director and grant recipient I wanted to bring to children and parents a greater understanding of raising our children to all they can be as adults and children of God, praising Him and learning to trust Him in a real relationship with our Lord. My husband Monte and I raised two daughters and now have four "breath-taking" grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in Lincoln, Nebraska. I believe God does have a plan for each of us if we seek Him with our whole hearts. My hobbies are being involved in my church through quilting, hospitality committee, women's Bible studies, singing, drawing, and amateur gardening, and of course spending time with a large extended family.

Have you ever found yourself in a fight with your sibling that lasted a couple days? Months? Or, even years? Do you feel misunderstood or treated unfairly by members of your family? You are not alone. Thankfully God's word vividly illustrates many sibling relationships gone awry along with lessons to glean from psychological research providing insight, and modern day application. Let's be real- there is no picture-perfect family. Only on Instagram does that exist. And I guarantee you that behind that perfect social media post are imperfect people struggling to love and accept one another. While God created the family unit, He also calls us away from family at times, often to grow us and mature us into the person he wants us to become. His plans do not align with our cultural ideas of the family closeness we see depicted in the media as a reflection of our societal values. So, what happens when our plans and His plans for our families don't match up?
Paul was a firebrand picked up by God for a nebulous mission. He completed a colossal job during a time of great civilizational collapse. During an epoch of uncertainty, Paul came to the realization that the Crucified One was indeed the Immutable Truth. He poured out his life as a libation for the eternal Logos who had visited our cosmos. It was the experimentations in the laboratory of Paul's cerebrum that turned the Judeo-Christian ethics and Greco-Roman civilization into a conglomerate called the "Western Civilization." The mind of Paul was an academy of ideas, and we the lukewarm, shape-shifting people of the postmodern world have much to learn from him. His epistles are read every day, in every church, in every language, in every continent. It is my hope that the sheer energy pulsing through Pauline letters will certainly invigorate us to understand Paul's passion for the Pantocrator. Jacob C. My original intention for this book was to have a series of Mini Lessons. I was actually going to label each lesson ML1, ML2, and so on. But after thinking about it a little while, I decided to go ahead and label each Mini Lesson as individual chapters. The difference about this book is that it has no particular subject flow to it. This is a series of different scriptural revelations I've received from the Lord over my last 40+ years as a Christian. As I received these various scriptural revelations from the Lord over time, I sat down and wrote them out at the time I received them. So I decided to put them into a book format. Some of this just might seriously step on some religious toes, but I hope that you will enjoy what the Lord has given me over the years. I, as the author of this book, absolutely hate religion. By religion I mean, anything any religion or religious organization attaches to the Word of God. One of the problems that I noticed in the church today, is that the majority of Christians don't think when they're reading their Bible. The only two reasons that I can think of, is that they're either told by their pastors what to think about a scripture or set of scriptures, which means they're reading with blinders on, or they're not paying attention to, or thinking about, what it is they're reading, which means that they have the attention span of a rock. This book here will knock the religion right out of some of the favorite scriptures lodged in religious heads. Please pay close attention to what I say here. If you have questions, take it up with the Original Author.

This book looks at the first 18 Chapters of the book of Psalms. Attention is directed to the relationship that God seeks to have with a human being. What is life with God like? 18 drawings are used, one for each of the 18 chapters. Each drawing visually depicts what one chapter reveals. The drawing is then used by a mentor with his mentee to teach the Psalm chapter. The key ingredient to interacting with God is simple: trust. When the quiet and diminutive Elian O'Connell inherited the mountain he had been born and raised on, his parents didn't tell him it came with a life threatening secret: a small village of winged fairies struggling for existence, hidden from the world in the caverns of a long lost gold mine. It was only a matter of time before Elian encountered a winged being who sought repeatedly to take his life to keep the secret of the fairy village hidden. The young man is forced to consider the implications of God having created winged beings: truly, who is the neighbor Jesus taught us to go and help, when it could cost us our future, our dreams and even our life. Tim Snodgrass is a career electronics engineer; he has designed all types of radios, starting from age 12. This passion led him to design radios for the U.S. military as well as other nations, and that led to an interest in world history, particularly ancient history. Extensive international travel, visiting ancient sites, working on an archeological dig and living abroad led Tim to take up writing Christian novels to express how God moves people in different ways in the world's many cultures. Some of his novels creatively use the lives of realistic characters to show the limitations of what evolution can do and how modern creation research affirms a Christian world view. Tim has written a historical trilogy placed in WWII, and multiple medieval and contemporary novels. Several of these employ unexpected uses of radios in the storyline to build moral strength and character into teenagers facing life's many difficulties.

It was a celebration to remember. A proclamation was sent out in the kingdom of Amira by Sovereign Apatmos for one and all in the kingdom to bring a gift to a celebration in honor of Elovah, the God of the Universe. However, it was the unexpected, simple gifts among the finest in the land that changed not only the minds but the hearts of those in the kingdom toward what it means to give of oneself. Author Daniel Smith provides readers with an engaging, heartfelt story about gratitude, faith, and selflessness through his children's fairy tale, The Most Special Gift.As all were grabbing up the best in the land as gifts for the celebration, many overlooked the two orphaned children who worked hard for what little they earned. Benny and Elvira wanted to also bring a gift to the celebration but between the two of them, not much was available. However, their decision to bring two gifts that meant the most to both of them would prove to be something that would change their lives, as well as the lives and mindsets of the kingdom, forever.Daniel began writing a story about the true meaning of giving gifts for a Christmas party years ago, but wasn't able to complete the story by the party. However, this seemed to entice his interest to write, creating three more fairy tales and a poem, all taking place in the magical land first set out in this story. He hopes that readers gain a stronger sense of the importance in giving gifts with no expectation for a return, which can help in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with someone.Just as Benny and Elvira hoped their gifts would please the Sovereign and Elovah, however meager the gifts might be, we can only hope what we present to God will mean something to Him and help others draw closer to Him.

Cambridge, Massachusetts 1980 Raven laid on the bathroom floor with her flaming cheek pressed to the cool tile. How long had she lain there? It had seemed like hours. Sitting up she looked at her watch, 40 minutes, only 40 minutes. The events of the morning were life altering. She could still feel the sting of the back of Kurt's hand on her cheek. "What did I do to deserve such a miserable life?" she moaned from the pain in her hip and ribs. She ran a washcloth under the cold water then grimaced as she held it to her cheek.Looking in the mirror she could see that the whole left side of her face was already turning a nice shade of blue. "Why does he always pick the face?" she asked.
When the people who were looked upon with the eyes of Jesus realized that those eyes recognized in them their lost and buried sonship, they were suddenly changed. It is His gift of grace that gives us new eyes, and we can see something divine in others. But first, we must be able to see ourselves with new eyes. I developed lie-based beliefs about myself as a child, and those lies had a devastating effect on my life. To the extent that my beliefs were distorted or poorly formed, my discernment and choices were flawed or wrong. We must seek God's truth in place of our lie-based beliefs not only to see the pearl in the mire, but also to recognize the sonship of God in ourselves and in others.
