Giant in the Valley is the first novel in Corzine's Colorado Trilogy. It is a post-Civil War inspirational adventure, set in the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains. The story begins when once again, Augusta O'Brien awakes from a terrifying dream that has always foretold of hardship and heartbreak. When her father becomes gravely ill, the prophecy comes true. She's forced to marry a stranger and travel west with him to his brother's ranch in Colorado. Despite Augusta's resentment, her new husband gently teaches her about God's love and provision. However, when tragedy follows them west, Augusta must rely on her new faith in God when she arrives at Tytus Grainger's Colorado ranch-pregnant and alone. Besides being the only female for a hundred miles, she soon learns that she has more to fear than a hostile brother-in-law. For Augusta has an enemy who is silently stalking her and will bring her face to face with the reality of her worst nightmare.
