A fine history of a proud regiment; The Irish Guards played their part gallantly during campaigns in Europe, North Africa and Italy during the Second World War, claiming two Victoria Cross recipients during that conflict. The basis of this history was the War Diaries kept by Battalion Intelligence Officers, along with individual records and papers.
A Roll of Honour, Honours Awards down to Military Medal, and 22 good maps complete this very good WW2 Regimental.
