About the Author
Jennifer Elyse Schneid is a former mathematics professor, teaching all levels of math at three community colleges for seventeen years. She also taught high school math for a year and tutored students at every level and subject of math from kindergarten through college undergraduate level. She is now running a math tutoring center. She has formally taught all math topics from Prealgebra through Calculus 3 and contributed content to math textbooks and other publications. Her favorite topics to teach are College Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and the Calculus sequence. She firmly believes every single person can learn math, but many need to be provided with proper motivation, instruction that incorporates their learning styles, and relevance to their lives for them to be successful. She hopes this guide helps math teachers everywhere so they can be the ones who help and inspire math students everywhere to gain confidence with and understanding of the wonders of mathematics.
Jennifer is also a young adult author, and she is working on her sixth book, a sci-fi romance thriller about nanotechnology. In her free time, she follows architecture, gymnastics, and dance and enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, one named Archimedes after her favorite mathematician.
