Her organization has reduced incarceration by more than 100,000 people and won more than $1 billion in allocations for crime prevention and victim services. She co-authored Proposition 47, a California ballot initiative that slashed incarceration and reallocated hundreds of millions of prison spending into mental health and victim services.
