An ancient evil has swept across the land, held at bay by a few select guardians. For decades, Ranger has battled Datsoes, mindless creatures bent on destruction. Capturing a beast for execution to kick off the FallHeart celebration, he is joined by his fellow warriors to escort the creature back to the Queen. When the monster saves his life, he starts to question his mission.
Isle has been alone for a long time, struggling to hang on to his humanity. Trapped in a cage, his past long forgotten, he desperately hopes that these fierce warriors will understand he isn't a crazed killer.
In an epic tale of friendship, Ranger and Isle must face an enemy who's been hidden for centuries. Can they set their differences aside in time to save the kingdom, or will they succumb to the darkness that threatens everything they hold dear?
