Luhonono is a place in Africa where the living and the dead are separated by a mirrored gate. Since the beginning of time animal guides have helped the dead cross into the afterlife. But what happens if the mirror breaks and the only saviours left are a teenage girl and her two male companions? The Roads of Luhonono Series describes the events needed to restore the delicate balance between life and the afterlife. Legend of the West Road recounts the adventures of three teenagers Magdalene, Gimbo, and Peter and their struggle to bring one of four animal guides (the Western animal legend) to the crossroad. Their quest pits them against the ever-present evil of the powerful witchdoctor, Moja and requires face-to-face conflict with his conjured demons.Suitable for Middle Grade and Young Adult readers.
