These letters started due to a discussion between Sir Edward Kylsoe and his old friend, Lady Harriet Fylldes- Rousse, regarding the story of her Sister, Lady Georgiana.
Edward begins to write to Georgiana out of friendship and compassion. This eventually blossoms into love between them, but before this occurs Edward leaves the country after an argument and returns to find matters have taken a dramatic downturn.
