Emma has just finished her first year of college and dreams of a well-deserved vacation. Just not the vacation her parents have booked. Instead of a cruise to the Caribbean, she's taking a journey to Scotland. Specifically, Scotland of the 14th century. Feeling that her parents are way too overprotective, she plans to time-travel to the past for two weeks, returning safe, sound, and unlike her two older sisters, unmarried. This trip will prove once and for all that she is the responsible Welling daughter, and far more mature than her 19 years would imply. Being captured by a rival clan and forced to marry within 48 hours of stepping through the time portal wasn't quite what she had in mind. But the One who created time has other plans, and a sense of humor.
