Om My Journey through the United States
Dr. Ved Gossain arrived in USA with only 8 dollars in his pocket. He already had his basic medical degree (MBBS) and a post-doctoral degree in Medicine (MD) from India,
but that was not recognized by the American Medical system. Consequently, he completed another Medical residency for three years.
He also completed a three-year fellowship in Endocrinology and ultimately went on to become an endowed professor and chief of the division of Endocrinology at Michigan State University.
(now emeritus). He has been elected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and fellowships of Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCP©, and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist (FACE).
He has an international reputation in endocrinology, was awarded the mastership in the American College of Physicians (MACP), and has been listed among the "Best Doctors in America" for the last several years.
He was also instrumental in getting the "India Council" established at Michigan State University in 1989 and served as its director for several years.
