Numbers

Numbers speaks about love and the distances between two people. Geographical distances, measured in numbers; age distances, measured in numbers; material and terrain distances, related to everything that is countable, as opposed to what cannot be weighed or measured. The distances of time and all the earthly things that separate two people. Death, love, eroticism, melancholy and, sometimes, the disturbing, sign this book of poems. In addition, it is remarkable the influence that reading of Zen poets had in the poetry of Alexandra Couts, and how the author combines this influence with the themes of erotic love and unrequited love.
