Om Origami Symphony No. 8
Welcome to the world premier of the Eighth Origami Symphony! Structured as a musical symphony in four movements, multiple themes combine to highlight the varieties of origami. Lively origami scenes can be created from the detailed cat breeds, sea creatures, tall prisms, challenging spherical shapes, and spectacular circus animals.
Contained in this work are 38 original models, each a masterpiece by origami master John Montroll. Each model can be folded from a single square using standard origami paper. An octet of cat breeds fills the first movement. Peaceful sea creatures swim through the second movement. A variety of tall prisms and spherical shapes form the minuet and trio of the third movement. For the fourth movement, a parade of circus animals brings the symphony to a grand conclusion.
First Movement: Allegro: Theme and Variation on Cats.
Second Movement: Andante: Sound Waves in the Sea.
Third Movement: Minuet of Tall Prisms with a Trio of Spherical Shapes.
Fourth Movement: March of the Circus Animals.
