Out of the Holler is a collection of poetry featuring themes of relationships, feminism, addiction, and death; like most works of poetry. This collection comes through an Appalachian lens. It's as raw, and straightforward, and honest as the place the writer was born.
Mary Bruce is a native Appalachian; born in Southwest Virginia and living in Kentucky. This is her debut collection.
