Om Promise and Deliverance Bible Curriculum
The Promise and Deliverance Bible Curriculum is an expanded curriculum based on the Promise and Deliverance Student Workbooks series written by Harvey De Groot. This expanded curriculum adds color illustrations and student activities created by D.A. Dawal. Both series are based on S.G. De Graaf's four-volume series, Promise and Deliverance. De Graaf wrote his series for teachers. He intended them to study his lessons prior to teaching a class. The curriculum in this book has a different purpose. It is designed for teachers to use with the students in class. It is appropriate for use in Sunday Schools, homeschools, Christian day schools, and any other place where systematic instruction in the Bible is desired. De Graaf showed educators how to teach Bible stories from a redemptive-historical perspective. Rather than turning Bible stories into moralistic tales, De Graaf taught us how all the stories in the Bible show God revealing Himself as the God of the covenant, who is working out His redemptive plan for humanity and all of creation. The 80 books written by Harvey De Groot supplement De Graaf's work. They are divided by volume and level number: twenty volumes with four levels per volume. Workbook lessons are written at four levels so families with students in various grades can study the same Bible stories together. The levels are divided according to the following grades: Level One: Grades K-1Level Two: Grades 2-3Level Three: Grades 4-6Level Four: Grades 7-8This book is Volume 1. Level 2, which contains the following lessons: The Kingdom of God (Gen. 1:1-2:3)The Covenant of God's Favor (Gen. 2:4-25)The Covenant of God's Grace (Gen. 3)Living Seed (Gen. 4)Saved by Water (Gen. 6-9)The Emergence of Distinct Peoples (Gen. 11:1-9)Blessed in The One (Gen. 12)Christ Alone (Gen. 13)Blessed by the Greater (Gen. 14)The Lord in the Covenant (Gen. 15)God Hears (Gen. 16)God the Almighty (Gen. 17)
