Quick on the Draw

A young family friend asks former police detective Alex Quick for her help when a valuable pair of items go missing after a dinner party at his uncle's grand Venetian apartment, only to turn up at a London pawnbrokers. Is one of his friends a thief, and why would a wealthy person need to steal in the first place? Alex heads to Venice for answers.
