Rhodes' Home

16-year-old Emma Snow is homeless again. Her hopes and dreams are crumpled into a garbage bag along with all her worldly possessions and material memories. She finally accepts that being part of a family-belonging somewhere-is not meant to be for her, and vows never to love or trust anyone ever again. Emma is invited to stay with a family in their country home on a hill nestled amongst corn and bean fields outside of New Point, a small town in the Midwest. It doesn't take long for her to realize that life in New Point is different from any place she has ever experienced. As Emma struggles to be a typical teen in an untypical town and situation, someone from her past reappears, threatening life in her new home as the people in the small town take her under their wing trying to heal her tattered heart. Senior year arrives and Emma scrambles to make the most of the last year of her childhood, joining the high school basketball team, pom-pom squad, and even meets her first true love. But as she lives the fantasy life of every teen, especially a foster teen, the memory of a past dream haunts her. One winter evening during the Christmas holiday, again the past collides with the present and Emma must make a decision that will impact life at her country home and her future.
