The planet Terrapin has been liberated from the Hunters, but in the wake of victory a more startling discovery is made: an ancient, evil race named the vVos had been controlling the Hunters.
The vVos ambassador has just arrived on Terrapin, demanding tribute as usual: a thousand children must be sent to his homeworld at once. What will be their fate? The ambassador won't say, but he destroys the Hunters' World to demonstrate his power.
Scorpio and his beautiful human companion, Leah de Bernay, must travel to the vVos homeworld and unravel the final mystery. The yoke of slavery has not yet been lifted; only the masters have changed.
