Shadow Earth

A tear... a rip into another world... a Shadow Earth... Tom would have done anything not to have gone to stay at his aunt's place in Lancashire that Summer with his younger sister. He would rather be back home with his friends, partying like all normal seventeen years olds. And his wish is granted, but not in the way he expected at all... His sister talks him into helping an old lady who claims there is a monster in her house; there, he is confronted by a daemon and, trying to fend it off, slips through a door of light. He finds himself in some kind of apocalyptic world where everything is in ruins. And the daemon has followed him. The strange door of light has closed and he cannot get back, but luckily a fearsome teenage girl with a leather jacket and baseball hat and hunting knife helps him fight off the creature. She tells him her world is riddled with such monsters and mankind has to live in strongholds to stay safe. She is going back to hers tomorrow, maybe someone there may be able to help him get back to his world... But the daemons are closing in on what is left of mankind, ready to extinguish them from the world forever, and Tom has found himself at the very centre of this war...
