She Danced

Maureen's life was full of dreams. Her own dreams. Her mother's dreams. The same dreams as millions of people around the country. The problem was, she never knew which dream to follow.
For as long as she could remember, she had been working toward the goal of becoming an actress in Hollywood during the golden age of the 1950's, but deep down, she'd always dreamed of having a normal childhood, in a normal town.
Life has a funny way of working out. The decision to change one's destiny isn't often a choice at all. Maureen may not have always chosen her path, but the life she led was filled with beauty and wonder, love and loss. It was a full life. It was a good life.
And once she was gone, it was a life forgotten.
