Skyote

Om Skyote

When two brothers befriend a mysterious creature, they teach their parents a valuable lesson about faith, love, and the oneness that connects us all."With lightning in their hearts, they were fearless."With oneness in their minds, they were wise."With laughter like thunder, they were kind."In the midst of a storm, Big Brother and the Little One catch a glimpse of the Skyote, a mystical being who chases cottontail clouds across the sky to bring monsoon rains to the people of the Sonoran Desert. Distracted by the boys, the Skyote accidentally locks his lightning teeth on a palo verde tree and tumbles out of the sky, grounded. Thus begins a warm and unusual friendship introducing the boys to a world of adventure where anything is possible. But when the boys' parents find them playing out in a storm with the Skyote, they drive him away and keep the boys safe at home. As the seasons pass without rain, the boys use lessons they learned from their time with the Skyote to inspire their play, maintain their faith, and ultimately offer the heartfelt solution that refreshes their world. Illustrated by the author with additional illustrative elements by her sons Rainey and Karcher.
