When an old, mysterious vagabond with amnesia meets a twelve-year-old genius in rural West Virginia, their lives (and maybe even reality) are never the same.

Have you ever experienced a series of events that you will always remember as if they happened yesterday - events that changed your life forever - events that touched your life in a significant way? Well, it happened to me one year when an old stranger suddenly came to our house in a most mysterious manner and interjected himself into my life. When I launched a quest to help cure the old man of his puzzling amnesia, Clarence reciprocated by telling me and my redneck sidekick true stories about the people of the mountains - stories that came from extremely unusual, almost paranormal, sources. The old man led us through a year of discovery that revealed that many times the important things in life are not what we imagine them to be.

Spiced with a bit of dramatized West Virginia history and a dash of the paranormal, this story is set in the mountains of West Virginia in 1961 and is told with gentile humor and downhome
