Om The Beautiful People
Keziah has lived her whole life in the spotlight. With extensive training as a supermodel the young Keziah soon rockets to fame with the support of her supermodel mother Alana. At the top of her game Keziah enjoys the champagne soaked life. Forgotten truths of a mother who abandoned her occasionally haunt her but she blocks them from her mind. Feelings of discontent settle over Keziah like a cloud which she dissipates with wealth. After all, those feelings have no right to be amongst her thoughts any more than a negligent mother does! Content with her adoptive mother Alana, Keziah is happy. Keziah and Alana part ways for separate jobs, albeit briefly. The separation turns out to be much longer when Keziah takes the wrong train to her intended destination. Finding herself trapped in a country paradise Keziah longs for escape. In the clutches of a warm, loving supportive functional family Keziah becomes painstakingly aware of her own dysfunction. Still longing for her life of fortune and fame she pushes aside the Bellemy family's love. In an idyllic town where people eat real food and have white hair instead of dying it Keziah feels woefully out of place. Falling for the Bellemy's son Percy, Keziah makes a fool of herself to win his affections. Becoming best friends Percy shows Keziah a side of life which she has never seen before. Heartbroken Alana searches relentlessly for her baby Keziah, to no avail. Forming an unlikely friendship with a master woodcarver Keziah begins to feel more at home in the small town. Will Keziah seek out her birth mother? If Keziah finds her birth mother, then what will that mean for her adoptive supermodel mother, Alana? Elegant and redemptive The Beautiful people shows the ugly side of beauty, the trappings of the Beauty industry and reveals who the Beautiful People really are.
