Kay has Dementia.
In 2021 sisters Stephanie and Christine Brown embarked on a road trip across Australia with their mother Kay.
They didn't want to put their mother in a home so decided to do something different.
They wanted to give her adventures, love & happiness while she could still enjoy it all.
This is a diary of their journey together and a story of their experience with dementia and
the ways they dealt with the ever-changing world dementia brings. It is also a story of love, family, joy and community.
Those with dementia are not lost, nor burdens. They are people with as much opportunity for meaningful moments as anyone.
