Stefan Blackman was lost at sea. He woke up on a strange island and couldn't remember a thing. He couldn't even remember his own name. What a fool. He is certain about one thing though. He's in love with a beautiful woman with all his heart. Even more foolish. That's the curse he must live with and so must the rest on the island he now resides on. They're all madly in love with a woman they can't remember, cursed by a witch, dammed and doomed to walk the trails endlessly day and night. Meanwhile Alicyn White, Stefan's one true love receives a message in a bottle from him washed up on shore. She sets sail on the open seas in a little rowboat built for two, "A badly put together pile of sticks & glue." Even more foolish then Stefan's quest is a woman chasing after a man. It's absurd. I've never heard of such a thing. The only hope Alicyn has to reach the island is a group of lonely begotten mermen.
Sanity certainly will be questioned in this tale of true love. Even if she does find Stefan, it'll be hard to convince him she's the one he's been searching for. He's confused. All men are confused, especially when a beautiful woman walks by and smiles at you. If he was wise he would go with her. A woman on this island doesn't come along very often.
