The Life of Lucy was Ariel Shavit's first book. Shavit wrote this story at age 14 in 8th grade in 2021. She wanted to create something that young girls, like her, can read and understand. Growing up in Pennsylvania, she was like any other teenage girl, and wanted everyone to understand what it was like so she wrote this book.
The story is a short fiction novel about Lucy's life, filled with drama, friendship ups and downs, and family roller coasters.
