Why is growing up so complicated? Will life always include poachers, unhappy memories, cat-nappers, coyotes, feral cats, and criminals? Will these things keep a good cat down? Pounce's world keeps changing. Will he learn to do the right thing at the right time?
Pounce is a story about a simple cat who wants to keep his friendships intact, his home-life secure, and his hopes up. He loves to learn new things. Singing helps him do this during difficult and confusing circumstances. His mama said that music in your life is good for cats, or for anyone. His mama was right.
