The Trouble in Toyland

Since when is it okay to hire a fifteen-year-old tenth-grader to lead a criminal investigation? Yet, this is exactly what happens to John, who finds that he is in for a lot more than he would have ever thought possible. John is the lowliest of the low. Rejected by many on account of his birth defect, he is used to being overlooked. Imagine his shock when someone comes looking for him-and only him-because he had specifically been chosen!
