Om The Two Brothers
THE TWO BROTHERS; A play garnished with heart-touching poems introducing each Act;
Vanity and yet voidable is everything,
Vanity says the great preacher,
All is VanityVanity,
not only Vanity but also voidable
What else can be said or done,
If not chasing after the wind,
Much wisdom much grief says Qoheleth,
Of what use is then wisdom?
This season comes and goes in joy and sorrow
One must be joyful and another must be sorrowful,
And a constant fight it is between light and darkness,
But yet vanity and still yet voidable is everything
The fool is encouraged embracing laziness
Hence, the wise has no advantage rather,
But, this is only thought of,
The knowledge itself is yet to be known
Even Vanity and so voidable
The pursuit for Virtue is the wise
The fool is forgotten with no legacy
If yet Vanity, Virtue still pays
....Ikenna upon returning from the Seminary met his father in critical condition, his long term sickness has weighed him down. Ikenna tried his best to save his father but all efforts proved abortive. Agutaekwe the only brother of Ikenna in his avaricious manner after the death of their father decided to monopolize everything their father had all to himself at all cost. You can imagine the outcome.
"This wonderful masterpiece assures that light triumphs always over darkness, and good over evil" ...Fr. Casmir Nkamuke
