Something Better sheds some light on the history of everyone's favorite pirate bartender, Slicer, and also gives a little more back-story to Terry Hessel, the reporter from The World of Hek, Book Two: Savior. The two men meet up with the demon Hek and discuss how they make others' lives into something better. Lastly, dear readers, is a special preview of The World of Hek, Book Three: Ease the Pain. Book Three tells the story of a former military man, haunted by the deaths of those who've fallen before him and the partner that he had to kill in order to save the day.
