Stave Swirler awakens and finds he's a passenger on a bus travelling through a tunnel. He doesn't know where he has been or where he is going. After the tunnel inexplicably revolves, Stave discusses the strange occurrence with two other passengers and they agree that reality has taken a bizarre and surreal turn. An ice cream van drives alongside the bus, matching its speed. And when the side shutter is raised, there is a man inside wearing a featureless, full-length mask and hands like crab claws: an agent of Tremelon Zandar.
