Amber and her son Ryker are living if not happily, but contentedly within the Rocky Mountain Base. At least they were until rumors started going around about them. Nasty rumors that slowly but surely caused them to become ostracized and accosted by their fellow residents.
Callden, the patriarch of the Guardians, found himself believing the rumors he was hearing.
It was a last ditch effort to deny the attraction he was having for the single mother, something he felt was a betrayal to his dead wife.
Once Callden finds out that he was completely wrong, he does everything he can to get to the bottom of these rumors.
