Walden, by Henry David Thoreau, is part memoir, part social experiment, Walden, explores the many facets of choosing a life unencumbered by modern society. For nearly two and a half years, Henry David Thoreau lived off the land at Walden Pond, documenting with great detail the various trials he faced being disconnected from society and the social word around him.
