Om Who Killed Wonderboy? and other stories
Eric Emerson was an Andy Warhol superstar who liked girls. And boys. He appeared in Warhol's cult films The Chelsea Girls, Lonesome Cowboys, San Diego Surf, and Heat (which also included Academy Award nominee Sylvia Miles from Midnight Cowboy in the cast.) Eric died in 1975 but the cause of his death has always been shrouded in mystery. Was it an overdose; a "hit and run" as reported in the press, or "murder" as some of his colleagues claimed? From Warhol superstar to the lead singer of a glitter band at Max's Kansas, Eric counted amongst his friends, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein of Blondie fame, Lou Reed from The Velvet Underground and Warhol star Jane Forth who was also the mother of one of his children. The first story in this book is a non-fiction narrative that delves into the details surrounding Eric's death as it explores what really happened and who was involved at the time. It is followed by a series of short stories from the same author which includes Morocco (what happens when a trip to Tangier ends in a knife threat?); Nick (the demise of a friend); Selma Avenue (a male prostitute works Selma Avenue in Hollywood);and Blanche (who says good-bye to the punk scene in San Francisco in the late 1970s.). The Author Gary Comenas (Co-may-ness) is a member of the Crime Writers' Association and the founder of warholstars.org. His previous books include The Real World, Murder to Wear, Suspect Everyone! and Edie, A Mystery Solved (about the Warhol superstar Edie Sedgwick).
