During the golden twenties the booming economy of America attracts a variety of businessmen and investors. Among these individuals is Charles Raymond, an upstanding English architect who travels across the Atlantic Ocean to further his career and work on a project for a wealthy businessman. Throughout his stay Charles' life takes a full 180° turn when he encounters the businessmans intriguing daughter with a dark secret.
