Women of the Word

From the pages of Genesis to the New Testament gospels, Women of the Word, by author Melissa Joy Parcels, was designed for self or group study. Each chapter features three or four women of the Bible from both the Old and New Testaments.

Parcels breaks down their story and choices and provides supporting scripture. She examines each woman's life through historical knowledge and scriptural evidence along with other examples from the Bible of their individual journey. Some women depended on God, while others did not. Some are the heroes of faith as described in Hebrews Chapter 11 and some simply obeyed God, and in their devotion, teach us many things to strengthen our own walks with the Lord. Each chapter concludes with discussion questions, prayer, and a devotional.
As Women of the Word unpacks the lives of twenty-five important women in the Bible, it teaches lessons from their stories, demonstrating what God wants us to learn today through them, their struggles, and their triumphs.
