Om Battered Women With Affected Children
Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Amos 3:3 (KJV)
ABUSE comes in all shapes and forms. It will cut you, pull you, and take all that you have emotionally and, if you’re not careful, even spiritually. We often find justifications to remain in abusive relationships, mostly out of fear. The story between these pages will give you the courage and motivation to guard your relationship with your God, as well as your mind, emotions, heart, body, self-esteem, and finances from abuse.
These are priceless treasures that I implore you to never allow anyone to rob from you or your loved ones. Abuse will plague you for a lifetime, and one lifetime is too short to be robbed by such evil. God intervened and worked mightily on my behalf, and all praise goes to my Lord that I’m not a statistic. Protect your children at all cost, as they cannot protect themselves. Listen and pay attention; children speak volumes in their actions.
Endeavor not to remain in an abusive relationship because of financial difficulties or fear. Fear is crippling. You deserve better than to have a raving lunatic try to control you day and night for the rest of your life. Take your children and leave. God will always make a way out.
