Om Before and After
Anyone who can make it to shore, can make it there. The author, through her writing, assumes the heartfelt role of the empathy-driven woman in her vision who spurs those who are grief-stricken on to a sunnier day.In her vision, a beautiful, sturdy ship of passengers who enjoy lives untroubled by the trauma of death, suddenly crumples. Unable to bear the weight of distress as passengers lose loved ones, it caves in. The passengers are then catapulted off the ship into unfamiliar waters of grief. The woman in the vision stands drenched and traumatized on a shoreline, seeing the anguished people in the chilly waters. She has just survived those waters. She furiously throws ropes, life jackets, and whatever God has given to her and yells words of encouragement not to give up. On the shore behind her stand buildings with peace and warmth flowing from them. Anyone who makes it to the shore can also make it there.
