Discernment 101: A Beginner's Guide to Discernment is the fourteenth volume of the Exploring Heavenly Places series. In retrospect, it may have been wise to write it first, but little did we know then how important a basic understanding of discernment would become to the series as a whole. So, in the popular tradition of prequels, welcome to this guide that should be a helpful prequel for both the day-to-day quest to delve into the unseen nature of God and the book series that explores those invisible realms. Here you will not only learn in easy-to-understand language exactly what discernment is, but also how to use it to understand how to 'see' what the Father is doing in any given moment; and then cooperate with Him just as Jesus did. He said in John 5:19, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise." Since we are called to be conformed to His image, what a great idea it is to learn how to do that!
