Forms of Ganesha

Vinayaka Tantra is one of the tantras (the text which deals with the worship of different forms of lord Ganesha.) lord Ganesha is worshiped as the supreme absolute god, the supreme reality from whom all other gods and goddesses emerge. As per the ganapatya lore. There are more than hundred and twenty forms of Ganesha described in this tantra and each one of these forms of lord Ganesha is worshiped for a unique and specific purpose. Ganesha is the supreme reality and hence he is the atman (soul) of every god and goddess. There are forms of Ganesha who were worshiped by different gods and goddesses that are described in this tantra. In this book all the verses of contemplation and visualization (dhyana shlokas) of different forms of Ganesha which are given in the Vinayaka Tantra are given along with transliteration in IAST format and translation in English. The story of how each form of Ganesha appeared is also given in short where available.
