"Interceptors is the true accounting of the battle against the infamous Sinaloa cartel on American soil as told by a deputy Sheriff from Pinal County, Arizona. The author, Matt Thomas, is an Arizona native, born and raised in Phoenix. As a youth, he lived in an area dominated by gangs and drugs, and grew up immersed in the mexican culture. As an adult Matt began working for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office in 1993, working patrol, undercover and SWAT. Matt has been directly involved in and led operation scountering the Mexican cartels, and has continued to fight that battle for over 20 years.
