Learning to Hunt

A lesser person's footsteps would have sounded like they were walking on dry cornflakes. He was 'still-hunting' in a fall drought. Stalking one of God's most perceptive animals in its home environment. This was no novice! His were the skills of a bowhunter who had honed his trade. That had not always been the case... He started as a DIY who set out to teach himself how to hunt. "I can figure it out on my own" lessons came hard. Some ending in smelling salts. Through the author's satire, follow the comical journey that forged him into the hunter he is today. He learned most of his life knowledge hands on. True to form, he took that approach when "Learning to Hunt". Friends gathered around evening campfires encouraged him to share with others... "Tell them about the time you did this or that". The laughter was often followed by comments about writing a book. So ultimately, he did. Making sure that the comical stories also provided lessons for 'the newbies.' The book placed him on the path where God wanted him. It did so because through HIS guidance, he was able to seek out from others the same advice he was promoting. If you don't know something, ask someone who does. That transformed him into the writer he is today. He loves hunting and he's passionate about sharing that with others. Writing, diving, and history are also high on his list of interest.
