Om Madagascar: The Window of My Soul
In this last of four books in her missionary series, The Rev. Dr. Patricia (Patsy) McGregor, shares her deep love for the Malagasy people and culture. Through a series of vignettes, Patsy's rare combination of joy, humor, and spiritual insight guides the reader to explore Courage, Calling, Character, Chemistry, Competency, and Community. Patsy recounts the lessons she learned through 30 years of living among some of the world's poorest people, particularly during her last 12 years in southern Madagascar. Her reflections inspire readers to apply these same lessons in their lives. In Window of My Soul, Patsy invites us to a new awareness of God working in our world in mighty ways. Other books in the series are A Guest in God's World, The Detour, and Tamana: At Home in Africa. The Rev. Dr. Patricia (Patsy) McGregor with her husband Todd devoted 30 years providing spiritual and humanitarian aid to needy communities in Madagascar, Kenya and Mauritius. Her experiences ranged from tea with the Queen of England to fellowship with a shaman in southern Madagascar. She co-founded health clinics, schools, women's centers and churches that improved the lives of the people she served. Patsy pioneered the introduction of women clergy in Mauritius and the Diocese of Toliara, Madagascar.
