Om Quail

Quail farming is the raising of quails to produce eggs or meat. Quail farming is relatively new, especially in Brazil, which is why many people are still unaware of it. Although we don't have the tradition that has been consolidated in European countries, we already have large producers and top-level researchers in this area of knowledge. Our producers and researchers conduct production or experiments following instructions and procedures that guarantee the quality of the products, the seriousness of the results and the replicability of the work. In this context, we have written this book as a guide, a support tool, aimed at zootechnical, veterinary and agronomic students, as well as technicians and producers, but we hope it will be read by all those who work with and love these birds. It is a summarised book that will help to describe the main points of quail breeding for meat and/or laying in terms of production and nutritional management. With this book, the reader will be able to better understand everything from the characteristics of this bird to how to use the scientific methodology techniques employed in quail farming research.
