Reclaiming Freedom

Om Reclaiming Freedom

Presented at the seventh annual Colloquium of the Christopher Dawson Centre for Cultural Studies, on 16 July 2022, these essays highlight what many people in western societies would deny: that their basic freedoms are under threat. Delivered by lawyers, educators, political activists, church leaders and journalists, contributors have drawn upon their expertise, and in some cases, personal experiences of abuse of their freedoms, to expose how constraints on self-expression are growing tighter, as prevailing progressive narratives become more aggressive towards those who do not comply. It is necessary to understand this first, these essays argue, in order to know what it will now take to reclaim our freedom.
