St. Francis of Assisi

The Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi is one of my favorite prayers that I have memorized and say quite often. It reminds me to put Jesus first in my life, and to pray often for the well-being of others, for they are true gifts of the Lord. Many times this prayer has changed my outlook on life for the better, and has lifted my spirits when I am feeling disheartened or alone. The white doves of peace help me remember that the Holy Spirit dwells within me, like the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:16 "Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" Thinking of others first is both a blessing to them and a blessing to us. As disciples of Jesus Christ we can be an example to others. Love never fails.
