Divided into two parts, this book is suitable for students in high energy heavy-ion physics. The first part covers the basic principles of these studies including kinematics, and cross sections. The second part features some specific probes of heavy-ion collisions at these energies: high mass thermal dileptons, quarkonium and hadronization.
